Things to Know and Other Helpful Information

All Mountain Getaway Cabin Rentals are heated and have air conditioning; they also have a completely equipped kitchen with all the modern conveniences of home, linens and towels. We provide an initial amount of toiletries (2 rolls of bath tissue per each bathroom & 1 roll of paper towel in kitchen) if you need more you will need to purchase these.
Each cabin has a washer and dryer, you will need to provide your own detergent and softener should you choose to use them. You will also need to bring personal items such as hair dryers, tooth brush etc.
Check In is at 3pm & Check Out is at 10am. Please respect the next scheduled guest by being prompt when departing in order for the housekeeping to come inside and start cleaning the cabin for the next guest to arrive.
We have several grocery stores such as Ingles, Food Lion & Save-A-Lot. There are many fast food restaurants as well as local favorite restaurants.
Fannin County is a dry county, but you can purchase beer & wine (Mon-Sat) at Ingles & Food Lion and at package stores. Restaurants in town can serve beer & wine. Resturants in neighboring town Copperhill, TN can serve beer & wine as well and is only 11 miles away. Hilltop Package is 16 miles South of Blue Ridge located in Ellijay.
Each cabin offers an Information Book about the cabin with helpful information. Please take the time to read it upon your arrival. Please take the time to read all the paperwork given to you at time of check-in as well.
All cabins have a telephone but do have a long distance block on them. You will need a calling card or pre paid minute’s card to call long distance. All local calls & incoming calls are free. The phone # for the cabin will be provided in your paperwork you receive at time of check in & in the cabin. Cell Phone service is limited in different areas as well.
All cabins are equipped with Satellite TV. Not all offer the same channel packaging. All do have the four main networks, ABC, CBS, NBC & FOX. Pay Per View movies cannot be ordered. We have several movie rental stores in town to choose from.
All cabins have either DVD/VCR combo, or just VCR. Some cabins may have multiple TV viewing areas with additional DVD or VCR.
Each cabin has a fireplace, either wood burning or gas log unit. Firewood is provided from Oct.1 - March 31st. Most cabins with wood burning fireplaces offer helpful fire starters for those who are not familiar with building a fire or you may pick up starter logs at most grocery & convenient stores.. Please Do Not use anything flammable, this is very dangerous and can result in losing deposit. Please Do Not rearrange the artificial logs in the gas log fireplace as this too can be dangerous and/or cause possible damage to the unit.
One can never predict the weather in the North Georgia Mountains. We may get snow & ice and we simply may not. Generally the months of January & February are when we may experience inclement weather. Most of the roads to the cabins are paved with the exception of a few. It is recommended that you call ahead in January & February to see what weather & road conditions may be like. We will not be held responsible for any accidents you may incur. We will be happy to provide a towing company’s phone #. No refund will be made for inclement weather.
If the roads are paved to a particular cabin the description on that cabin page will note this, if not expect the road to be graveled/dirt. At any point & time if you have a choice of driving a SUV or low riding sports car we suggest you bring the SUV.
If you’re planning to ride a motorcycle please check with our staff first, some cabins are not accessible by way of motorcycle, no matter how well experienced the driver.
If you plan to tow a trailer please check with us first, as this too may not be accessible. None of our cabins are able to accomodate RV Campers of any size.
We recommend you Do Not use MapQuest to try to locate us. Once you have a reservation with us you will be supplied with a rental statement that includes directions straight to our office, if you still need additional help with directions please see our website map & directions or call our office staff to help point you in the right direction.
Double bookings are rare. In the event a reservation is double booked, the renter will be notified. We reserve the right to relocate guest into a different cabin within our rental company or of another company. Guest will have the option to accept the replacement cabin or receive a full refund.
The person booking the cabin must be at least 25 years old and be either the person or spouse of the person, whose name appears on the credit card. This person must be willing to take full responsibility, be with their guest the entire stay, and sign our Liability Release form that will be sent along with the Rental Statement. Exceptions can me made for married couples or in special situations, please discuss this with our office staff in advance.
Parents please do not call to rent for your children. Please know that the person renting the cabin must be at least 25 years old to rent from us & will be asked for identification at time of check in.
Know that our rental cabins are privately owned secondary homes. The cabins are beautifully furnished and well kept. It is our goal to keep them this way. They are not party cabins, if you are a college party group we suggest you inquire with another company in the area other than us.
We have a Strict No Smoking Policy in all of our cabins. Please respect the next guest scheduled to arrive after your departure and do not smoke inside the cabin. You may smoke outside on the porches or decks. Please do not dispose of cigarettes in the yard area or in our woods. Smoking inside the cabin is an automatic forfeit of deposit. Any additional charges for cleaning will be billed to the renter.
In addition, we have a Strict No Pet Policy. Our cabins are well kept and we wish to keep them this way. We take into consideration the next guest to arrive after ones departure. We cannot accommodate any size or type of dog or cat. Please Do Not ask. If it is found evident a pet has occupied the property, the result is an automatic forfeit of deposit. Any additional cleaning expenses will be billed to the renter.
Please respect the cabin and take care of it. The cleaning fee does not mean we are allowing you to leave the cabin or hot tub in unsanitary condition. We reserve the right to charge for extra cleaning expenses.
Any additional damages to the cabin that exceed the $250 deposit will be billed to the renter.
Each cabin is individually owned & offers different amenities. You will need to click on each cabin to see the inside of the cabin, view and description, more photos & check availability. Our cabins are located in Fannin County, and are no further than 10-15 miles out of Blue Ridge.
MOUNTAIN GETAWAY CABIN RENTALS HAS A STRICT POLICY: NO SMOKING AND NO PETS IN ALL OUR CABINS. ANY VIOLATION OF THIS POLICY WILL RESULT IN A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT AND ANY FURTHER DAMAGE OR CLEANING EXPENSES WILL BE BILLED TO THE RENTER, NO EXCEPTIONS.
All Cabins have a 2 night minimum
4 night minimum for 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years
3 night minimum for all other holidays
3 night minimum for weekends in June & July
3 night minimum for October
Peak seasons & Holidays are subject to rate increases
